Jim Miller and Kelly Mayhew are co-authors with Mike Davis of Under the Perfect Sun: The San Diego Tourists Never See and Miller is also the author of the novels Drift, Flash, and Last Days in Ocean Beach. Both are founders of San Diego City Works Press. Doug Porter is a writer, underground journalist, and political activist who helped found The San Diego Free Press and currently publishes Words and Deeds on Substack.
